ARCHSHADERS 2 PDF

Almost all of us sometimes have that feeling of irritation after many hours working on perfect shaders. Water is to dry, glass is to matt and the leather looks much more like cotton. Now you can forget about it! We would like to present you new.

By Maxer , June 8, in V-Ray. Is anyone using these and what do you think, and are there any better libraries than these? Ok I've been to that site and used some of their materials but it seems that some of the materials render very slowly, would the Archshaders be more optimized? I have the wood collection and it is great for doing large areas of flooring with no visible tiling as most maps cover 6x6m area.

Each comes with diffuse specular and bump maps, although they can eat memory at that size. No matlibs though, you have to bring each map into the material yourself and play with glossiness etc, but overall really nice. I think I remember see some of the Evermotions that had really high glossy values. Like 80 I think and they didn't need them and it just killed my scene.

I don't know if the arch shaders have those kind of issues but I have been wary of using them since I found those materials. That's my concern since I only understand the basics of material creation in Vray I don't want to buy a bunch of stuff that's going to make Vray any slower than it has to be.

I wish Vray had some kind of Wizard like Maxwell does, or even came with a limited selection of pre-made materials like Maxwell. You could buy a package I wouldn't bother for any premade material collections at all. If you still need to learn and you always have to just buy an evermotion interior CD, investigate all the materials and in one weekend you have enough grasp on how to set up a decent scene within no time, including lighting. Just keep in mind that you can still simplify both material and lighting setup to get faster rendering since evermotion is not interested in speed but more in ease of use.

When you're stepping ahead there is still enough room to find the edge for certain tasks and that is where your specific skills will need to come around, just as with any other renderengine. Most of these shaders can be used right away but i suggest to use them as a starting point for your own shaders and to teak them some more.

Thanks Oliver I'll definitely check them out, and thanks everyone else for your input about these Evermotion libraries it sounds like I won't be buying them after all. But I'm missing his David Hasselhoff avatar. There it is! You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. Sign up for a new account in our community. It's easy! Already have an account?
